Thermoplastic polymer gaskets: PTFE gaskets and Teflon® seals

CMD’s production includes a wide range of polymer gaskets, known for their excellent chemical and mechanical resistance properties. Among the most used materials is polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), also known as Teflon®, which is used both in its pure state and in modified forms for specific industrial applications.

PTFE gaskets can be made with filled materials, where the PTFE is combined with glass fibers, graphite, carbon, bronze or ceramic. These additives improve the mechanical and thermal properties of the gaskets, making them ideal for severe operating conditions.

CMD produces polymer gaskets for every industrial application

CMD also produces PTFE rings, PTFE gaskets for flanges and custom solutions for advanced technical applications. PTFE envelope gaskets are one of the most popular solutions for their ability to combine chemical resistance and flexibility, ensuring high performance in static or dynamic conditions.

PTFE seals, thanks to their soft and resilient structure, guarantee perfect adhesion even on irregular surfaces, minimizing leaks and increasing the life of the components.

PTFE gaskets: excellent performance for critical environments

PTFE gaskets are inert to most chemicals, except for molten alkali metals and some specific combinations, and can operate in a temperature range from -270 °C to over 200 °C.

For particular applications, CMD manufactures industrial sealing rings in composite polymer, ideal for environments with high mechanical and chemical stress. These components are perfect for sectors such as the chemical, food, energy and pharmaceutical industries.

Why choose CMD PTFE gaskets

CMD’s PTFE gaskets stand out for their long operating life, ease of installation and replacement, and versatility in critical conditions, such as aggressive chemicals and fluids. CMD guarantees custom solutions to meet every technical need, maintaining high quality standards and ensuring reliable performance even in complex environments.
