For the production of punched gaskets, CMD uses SGL Carbon expanded graphite sheets, among the best in the world for purity, density and compressibility. The raw material derives from natural graphite flakes with a well-ordered crystalline structure, transformed into expanded graphite through specific processes.

These pure graphite composites are compressed without the use of glues or fillers, forming sheets with exceptional mechanical resistance and chemical stability properties.

Our custom punched graphite gaskets

Punched graphite gaskets stand out for their ability to ensure reliable static seals in a wide temperature range, from extremely low to very high conditions. Thanks to their excellent resistance to chemical agents, they represent an ideal solution for applications in critical industrial environments, where safety and durability are essential.

The punched gaskets are also produced with dies made to measure according to the drawings provided by the customer. In this way, custom punched graphite gaskets can also be made entirely to measure for the most complex technical needs.

PTFE alternatives to punched graphite gaskets

CMD also offers a range of sliced gaskets in PTFE, made with a similar procedure but using PTFE instead of graphite. These gaskets are ideal for applications where mechanical performance and resistance to more moderate temperatures are required, still offering a high level of reliability and precision.
