For the production of its cut gaskets, CMD uses sheets of SGL Carbon expanded graphite, one of the best in the world in terms of purity, density and compressibility.
The raw material used for their realization comes from flakes of natural graphite that have a well-ordered crystalline structure, then turned into the graphite we know. These composites of pure graphite are compressed, without the addition of adhesives or fillers, forming sheets of raw material with exceptional strength properties and performance.
The cut graphite gaskets are optimal for static seals in application at low, high and very high temperatures. They have an excellent resistance to chemicals.
Nevertheless, the production takes place with extreme easiness thank to punches created for the perfect reproduction of the customer's design.
CMD also offers a range of cut gaskets in PTFE which, subject to the same accuracy in the realization, perform their function where the mechanical performance and the temperatures are more contained.
