Lamellar seals: specifics and applications

Initially, CMD focused on the production of cylindrical seals, made of alternating layers of stainless steel and graphite, combining mechanical resistance and elasticity. With the advent of triple eccentric butterfly valves, the company expanded its offer to include lamellar gaskets.

The production of lamellar seals has been further developed to adapt to a wide range of industrial applications. These gaskets use metallic layers combined with materials defined as “soft”, such as graphite or other compounds, selected based on the physical-chemical characteristics of the fluid with which they come into contact. This versatility makes CMD lamellar gaskets ideal for guaranteeing reliable performance in demanding operating environments.
